Quindici, IL Gorilla by Danese. Danese continues the re-edition of Enzo Mari's prints, graphic works that have marked its history and the evolution of Italian design. It reproposes four animals taken from the Nature Series: "Sei, l'orso", "Sette, il leone", "Quattordici, la frana", "Fifteen, the gorilla". This stems from the quest to transform an image into a symbol through a programmed reduction that tends to eliminate the superfluous in favor of meaning, with a view to the realization of multiple art. Mari starts working on the subjects that make up this series since 1957 when she conceives the first version of the Game of Fables. Some figures summarized for this interactive story are filmed in serigraphs starting from 1964 under the name of Series of Nature. Become a symbol of Danish production, this series is among the few examples of editions that achieve the goal of creating for the living environment artistic images based on the concept of seriality in favor of a democratic quality, an art within everyone's reach.
