Cartoccio from FontanaArte is a beautiful clear glass vase. Natural forms and curved flowing lines give this object its beauty. The design is so sensible that it requires little function, it make a great accent piece in any setting. This vase model has been in production with the company since the early years. Designed by Pietro Chiesa, 1932.
Fontana Arte was founded in 1932 by the architect Gio Ponti. In the early years Fontana Arte was knows for its advanced glass making and stained glass applications. Gio Ponti designed the first glass lighting and interior applications in collaboration with Pietro Chiesa. Today the Fontana Arte collection includes design by Max Ingrand, David Chipperfield, Vico Magistretti, Franco Raggi. Foster & Parnters, Charles Williams. The Fontana Arte furniture collection includes such classics like Tour, Tavolo Con Ruote, Sobrio, Cartoccio and the Fontana glass tables.
