Loft D6440 lamp Jielde is the classic size of the Loft collection. The classic french industrial design provides the ability to twist and turn at the joints, a robust and articulated design that just adapt to any working environment.The Jieldé Loft lamps are manufactured in Lyon France made from pressed steel the same old technique and they all are numbered in order to remain single and unique. On the D6440 an on and off switch is located at the base. The table models are available with a double arm in two sizes or with a single short arm version.The Loft series is available in 18 different finishes including an all brushed and chrome plated model. The Loft table lamp is designed by Jean-Louis Domecq, 1953.

Jieldé Lamps was startd by Jean-Louis Domecq. Searching for a suitable lamp fixture for his general mechnaics activities he decided to construct his own lamp. It took two yeras of trial and error to final settle in April of 1950 on the final specifications that was simple, robust, and articulated in order to adapt to all working senarios.
In 1953 the Jielde company was founded and marketed as his initials Ji eL De. In the 1990's the family of lamps expanded to include the Loft, Signal and Augustin series. The Jielde lamps are an icon of French industrial art and still hand made in Lyon. Jielde lights are now the perfect modern light for any home or office.
