Top Pot Hard Outdoor Planter by Serralunga. A pot with high stability and a changing aesthetic shape, winner of the Design Press-Award ICFF New-York. The pot is made from linear low-density polyethylene, achieved by rotational moulding, and is available in white, silver, black and red. A version with an internal light is also available. Top Pot Hard Outdoor Pot by Serralunga are designed by Ron Arad.
Serralunga was founded in Biella, northern Italy in 1994 with a focus on developing large-scale outdoor objects using rotational moulding technology. The rotomoulding process - in which polyethylene powder is heated and rotated inside a mould to produce a seamless, double-walled vessel - allows Serralunga to produce planters and furniture of a scale and structural integrity that injection moulding cannot achieve. UV-stable, frost-resistant and available in illuminated formats with integrated LED lighting, Serralunga's planters and outdoor furniture are used in hotel terraces, restaurant exteriors, public plazas and residential gardens worldwide. Designers Stefano Giovannoni, Roberto Paoli and Christophe Pillet have each contributed to a collection that now spans over 100 planter designs and a full outdoor furniture range.
