Yamagiwa | Tear Drop Pendant Lamp
MODEL OPTIONS:
Tear Drop Pendant Lamp by Yamagiwa. Pendant lamp made of two nested solid glass globes. To be hard wired with canopy into the ceiling. The shade is formed solid glass. Tear Drop Pendant Lamp by Yamagiwa is designed by Tokujin Yoshioka.
Yamagiwa Corporation was established in Tokyo in 1923 as a lighting retailer. Over the following century it evolved into one of Japan's most significant lighting manufacturers, distinguished by a series of landmark design collaborations that brought international designers into dialogue with Japanese craft traditions. The Mayuhana, designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Toyo Ito, uses spun fiberglass to create a cocoon-like form that produces a warm, luminous glow unlike any other material. The Tear Drop by Tokujin Yoshioka suspends crystal in a teardrop geometry that refracts light across a room. The Jakobsson collection reissues Hans-Agne Jakobsson's celebrated pine-strip Scandinavian designs under licence in Japan - a Swedish mid-century classic manufactured with Japanese precision.
